Verbum Lab was founded in January 2026, taking over from OISE, a school that began offering courses in 1973 and Spanish language courses in Spain in 1986.

As the successor to this international educational group, Verbum Lab continues its mission to offer high-quality language training to students from all over the world, promoting language learning in general and Spanish culture in particular through an authentic and enriching educational experience.

Verbum Lab’s mission is clearly defined to provide a unique and effective educational experience. The mission can be summarised in the following key points:

1. Teaching Spanish in an immersive and effective way: The school’s main objective is to offer Spanish courses that focus not only on grammar and vocabulary, but also on cultural immersion. The setting of Segovia, with its rich history, monuments and traditions, offers an ideal backdrop for a comprehensive learning experience, where students can practise the language in real, everyday situations.
2. Promoting cultural exchange: The school’s mission is to foster mutual understanding between international students and the local community by promoting cultural exchange. Through extracurricular activities, excursions and events that bring students into contact with the people of Segovia, the school aims to build bridges between different cultures and promote respect and understanding.
3. Providing quality education: The school is committed to providing high-quality teaching, with a team of qualified teachers experienced in teaching foreign languages. Furthermore, personalised teaching methods will be used to ensure that students achieve effective language acquisition. Whilst Verbum Lab takes over from the previous school, with a dedicated focus on teaching Spanish as a foreign language, in this new phase the school is expanding its educational offering to include new languages.
